Children’s Religious Education
Welcome to the Children’s Sunday Morning Community! Our mission is to nurture the spiritual and ethical development of young people within a caring and inclusive space.
Please contact our Director of Religious Education for more information on how your children and youth can participate or for answers to any questions you may have.
Children’s Sunday Morning Community
During in-person services, children are invited to the Community First School grounds adjacent to the church. There, trained teachers engage them in activities, play, discussion, and reflection focused on UU principles and practices, diverse community occasions, and the rhythms of nature. Please sign in at the Room 6 classroom, which can be readily accessed from the parking lot off Remington Ave. Sign-in begins at 9:15 a.m., and supervision is provided until 11:30 a.m.
On the last Sunday of each month, children join us in the Sanctuary during the first part of our service so that we can enjoy family-friendly songs, stories, and UU rituals together. The teachers lead the children over to the Community First School grounds after this “Time for All Ages.” Sign-in is at the Sanctuary on the last Sunday of the month.
Climate Reading and Discussion Circle
The Multigenerational Climate Reading and Discussion Circle welcomes the participation of youth and adults.
