Joining one of our Teams can be a good way to get to know fellow congregants while deriving satisfaction from supporting UUFS.

Audio-Visual Team
Our Audio-Visual Team is responsible for handling the amplification and recording of Sunday services and special events. We welcome volunteers, no experience is necessary, and the technology is easy to learn.
Barista Team
The Barista Team prepares coffee and ensures that all supplies needed for the Sunday morning coffee hour are ready. Members and friends wash their own mugs, and volunteers help clean up. We welcome volunteers for set-up and clean-up, as well as for bringing treats.
Caring and Support Team
Our Caring and Support Team provides meals, transportation, and emotional support to members and friends in times of need. When appropriate, we make referrals to outside resources such as Heart of the Valley. Please consider joining our registry of folks willing to assist on a case-by-case basis if available. If you are in need of assistance or would like to join our team, contact connections@uufs.org.
Communications Team
Our Communications Team is responsible for informing our congregation about information and events. in addition to maintaining the website, we produce the Mid-Week Update and Monthly Newsletter.
Connections Team
The Connections Team helps our congregation grow by welcoming new people and supporting them to move into participation in the congregation. We staff the Welcome Table on Sundays to provide a warm atmosphere, and we sign up newcomers for our Mid-Week Updates and monthly newsletter.
Religious Education Team
The Religious Education Team ensures that the needs of the children and RE staff are met. This includes curriculum planning for the upcoming school year, event planning, intergenerational services, and holiday events.
Service Auction Team
The Service Auction Team organizes the Marketplace, an annual fund-raising event held each year in the spring.
Social Justice and Climate Action Team
The Social Justice and Climate Action Team meets monthly for social justice by addressing political, environmental, and human issues in the local and global community. All are welcome to join our monthly Zoom meetings to discuss, plan, and participate in our activities.
Service Coordinators Team
Our Service Coordinators help plan the Sunday Services and make sure that the service runs smoothly. Some Service Coordinators even plan and lead services. (This team was previously the “Worship Associates Team.”)
Technology Team
The Technology Team works with the Minister, the service coordinators, and others to produce and manage the technical aspects of various UUFS activities, including the Sunday Service, Sunday Supplements, and Celebrations of Life.
