Opportunities for children to play a role in the larger community abound at UUFS. Service projects such as packing groceries at the local food pantry, supplying homemade cookies to a homeless shelter for LGBTQIA+ youth, or helping to plant trees in a neighborhood with limited urban canopy are some examples. Youth aged 10+ lead fellowship activities such as the book sale at our annual fundraiser or multigenerational hands-on learning activities and interactive worship. Calling themselves “The Deputies,” this group meets as part of the Children’s Sunday Morning Community.
