Circle Suppers

What are Circle Suppers
In the spirit of trying to strengthen our mutual relationships by meeting others in the fellowship, UUFS runs a monthly program called Circle Suppers. Once a month on a weekend we will arrange for a group of UU folk to get together for a coordinated potluck at the houses of some of our members.
Note that this is a re-start of a program that UUFS ran successfully for many years prior to Covid.
How Circle Suppers work
We would have a fixed schedule – the 2nd Saturday of each month at 6pm. A couple of weeks prior to that date we would send out an email to all UUFS to see who would like to participate in the next event, and which people would be willing to host. From the responses we will put together a group (usually of 6-8 people) for each venue and send out a confirmation email. Each host will then contact the assigned guests, and give them the choice of desired contributions, such as appetizers, salad, main dish, side dishes, and dessert, with the host(ess) providing the table settings, drinks and/or beverages, and bread and butter.
We hope that we can use this as an opportunity to make new friends and build stronger relationships within UUFS – especially for newer members.
How to Participate
Circle Suppers are coordinated via email using circle.suppers@uufs.org.
If you are interested in participating and receive info on the coming month’s suppers, please send a note to the email address so we can put you on the Circle Supper mailing list.
If you wish to host a Circle Supper, please send an email describing any specifics of the dinner and how many guests you wish to invite. This should be sent during the previous month to the scheduled supper.
On the first of the month, a list of this month’s suppers will be sent to all on the mailing list. If you are interested in attending one of the potluck dinners as a guest, please send an email indicating that in the first week of the month. The host will then contact you to arrange what to bring for the potluck and any other details.
