The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Sunnyvale is a place where diverse groups of people learn, think, and develop spiritually and emotionally together. Sometimes we gather by age while at other times we convene as a multigenerational congregation. 

Our goal is to nurture the spiritual and ethical development of young people within a caring and inclusive space. Folks under 18 are welcome in the sanctuary or the Children’s Sunday Morning Community, which meets in the classrooms and grounds of an adjacent school. Sometimes youth meet as a special Leadership Group that plans projects in support of the fellowship and the wider community. During the service, we also offer a designated space connected to the sanctuary called the Wiggle Room, which is staffed by volunteers and equipped with toys and other supplies for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Every month, all ages have an opportunity to learn and worship together through a hands-on activity related to a common theme we’ve been exploring or in an interactive service observing a significant occasion in the church year.

There are a number of opportunities beyond being on site Sunday mornings to develop socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Movie nights for ages 6-11 are very popular with kids and afford parents and caregivers some time with adults. Youth connect with age mates in other Unitarian Universalist congregations through social events and classes such as the nationally recognized Our Whole Lives sexuality education program. And all ages enjoy the monthly game nights we share with neighboring congregations.    

Adult Life Enrichment plays an important role in our community as well.
