Audio/Visual
Our Audio/Visual Team rotates the responsibility for handling the amplification and recording of Sunday services and special events. Contact audio.visual@uufs.org.
Caring and Support Network
Our Caring and Support Network provides meals, transportation and emotional support to members and friends in times of need. When appropriate, we make referrals to outside resources. The Network is a registry of folks willing to assist when available on a case-by-case basis. If you are in need of assistance or have questions, please send an e-mail to caring@uufs.org.
We use the website Lotsa Helping Hands to coordinate and communicate volunteer caring activities. If you would like to join the network, click “Join a Community.” Find us by searching for UUFS and zip code 94087.
Communications
The Communications Team assists and supports the congregation with UUFS communications both internally and with the wider community by producing our monthly newsletter, a weekly email update, and managing this UUFS website. Contact communications@uufs.org.
Connections
The Connections Team helps our congregation to grow by welcoming new people and by helping and supporting them to move into participation in the congregation. The team:
1. Welcomes and follows up with visitors and newcomers.
2. Facilitates moving newcomers into membership or supporting friend status.
3. Shepherds new members into becoming active volunteers in support of the work of our congregation

Fund Raising
The Fund Raising Team raises money to provide operating income and offset budget deficits. A major role of the team is to create new ideas and venues for fund raising that include the broader community served by UUFS.
Hospitality
We are working on ideas to make our much-loved coffee hour service more sustainable and less dependent on a single person. If you would like to be part of this effort, please contact Wilma Chu at barista@uufs.org. Thank you for lending your goodwill and support!
Human Resources
The Human Resources Team assists the minister (head of staff) with human resource functions in managing staff.
Life Enrichment
The Life Enrichment Team sets goals, objectives, and philosophy for the adult Life Enrichment program it establishes. Programs are offered on a wide variety of topics in support of our congregation’s spiritual growth, search for meaning, enjoyment of life, building of relationships, and desire for social justice. Pledge Drive
The Pledge Team operates in February and March and conducts the annual fund-raising drive for the Fellowship. The committee consists of the Minister and at least two other members. Contact pledge@uufs.org.
Religious Education
The Religious Education Team ensures that the needs of the children and volunteer staff are met. This includes curriculum planning for the upcoming school year, event planning such as game nights, inter-generational services and holiday events, and teacher recruiting. Here at UUFS we have a very diverse group of students and learning differences. One of the amazing jobs of our committee is problem solving to find and implement appropriate solutions. Service Auction
The Service Auction Team organizes and holds the silent service auction, an annual fund-raising event held each year at the beginning of June.
Social Events
The Social Events Team plans social events that bring together multiple elements of the congregation. There are six fellowship wide events each year: two picnics, Easter brunch, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, and New Year’s Eve dinner. Any event could change due to desire or schedule. Social Justice
The Social Justice Team is committed to working for social justice by addressing political, environmental and human issues in the local and global community. For details on the organizations we support, see our Social Justice page. The UUFS Social Justice Committee meets at 11:00 a.m. on the second Sunday of each month to plan activities that foster justice in our world. All are welcome to join in discussing, planning, and/or participating in our activities. For more information, contact social.justice@uufs.org.
Usher Coordinator & Ushers
The Usher Coordinator ensures that services are adequately staffed with ushers. The ushers pass out orders of service; accommodate seating issues; collect offerings; and document the money collected. Contact ushers@uufs.org.
