Reverend Joy Atkinson will join us on Zoom from Beaverton, Oregon where she recently moved, to share some thoughts about transitions in our lives and about how ministerial transitions in congregations can be navigated with the help of an interim minister. Following the service she will join us in the Chapel to discuss more about transitions and interim ministry, and answer questions anyone may have.

Rev. Atkinson retired in 2018 after 41 years as a UU parish minister. She is Minister Emerita of the Unitarian Universalists of San Mateo, having served that congregation for 14 years. After 25 years as a settled parish minister, she entered interim ministry and became an Accredited Interim Minister with the UUA. As an interim minister, she served 10 congregations in 16 years, in Stockton, Marin, Grass Valley, Monterrey, Santa Barbara, Fremont, Arcata, Berkeley, Hayward and a congregation in Tucson, Arizona.
