A Celebration of the Season of the Winter Solstice

Join us this Sunday for a service in celebration of the winter solstice, filled with meditative moments and wonderful music. Lisa Karpinski will share some words with us and Anat Kardontchik, home for the holidays, has graciously agreed to play for us. For those of you who have not heard Anat play the violin, you are in for a treat!
And speaking of treats, our own Haley Stephan-Engdahl will once again treat our children, along with all of us who are young at heart, to a reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
Note that the date of the winter solstice varies from year to year, falling anywhere from December 20th through December 23rd. This year, the solstice – the shortest day of the year, which heralds the coming of winter – falls on Friday, December 21st.
