A personal experience of human rights and travel by guest speaker UUFS Member Teri Wiss.

The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee took a group of supporters on a trip to Burma/Myanmar in February, 2017 to learn about our partner organizations and how we are helping them. In the months and days leading up to the trip, human rights abuses intensified. Teri was on this trip and even stayed after for a private trip extension. Come hear of her experience combining social justice and travel.

Following the trip, UUSC president and CEO, Tom Andrews spoke of the human rights of the Rohingya people before the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission of the US Congress. You can watch the hearing here: http://www.uusc.org/lantos-commission-rohingya/
