This month we are reading, “On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century” by Timothy Snyder. This is a very short read. However, it is very timely. He talks about twenty actions or situations that occur in order for authoritarian regimes to take hold. As an example, he cautions against accepting a one party system. His suggestion is to support and defend a multiparty network. Diverse opinions are the lifeblood of a democracy. Come and join us for the discussion even if you have only read part of the book.
